On March 8, 2008 the FCC approved an application submitted by PARA officials for a vanity club call sign. The club call sign had been KB3CLZ since being granted to PARA on April 23, 1998. The recent application changed the call sign to W3PHB and is thought to be more identifiable with Philipsburg. The FCC fee for this application was $11.70 and was funded with a private donation.
